Community and Rank Structure This structure is the Standard Operating Procedure (s.o.p) that is used community wide. Modern Day Gaming has two types of Memberships: Battle Membership - Those who apply for Battle membership will be assigned to a Platoon and Squad.. These members are expected to attend practices and are also eligible to participate in any competitive and friendly clan battles. This membership requires a gamertag change at the rank of Platoon Leader and is intended for those who would like to be apart of the MDG Community with a competitive aspect. Social Membership - Those who apply for Social Membership will not be assigned to a platoon and will not be held against a rank structure. These members are not required to attend practices and are able to participate Official competitive matches, except under special circumstances, as approved by the CO. This type of membership does not require a gamertag change, and is intended for those who would would like to be apart of the MDG Community without the competitive aspect. Community Leaders: The community is lead by the Commanding Officer (CO).
The Chief of Staff (CoS) is second in command and reports to the (CO). Officers: The Chief Operations Officer - “Battle” (COO) reports into the Chief of Staff. The COO (Battle) is responsible for all MDG members who hold a Battle Membership. The COO ensures the CLO and XO are fulfilling their duties as assigned to them, and monitoring the behaviours and activity levels of all MDG Battle Members on all social and internal platforms. The COO also helps carry out all day to day operations.
The Chief Operations Officer - “ Social” (COO) follows the same structure as the COO Battle, but is responsible for all community members who hold a Social Membership. The COO ensures the community ambassadors are fulfilling their duties as assigned to them, and monitoring the behaviours and activity levels of all MDG Social Members on all social and internal platforms. The COO also helps carry out all day to day operations on the Social side. The Recruitment Liaison Officer (RLO) reports into the COO’s. The RLO is the first point of contact for all recruitment concerns. They are responsible for accepting applications on the MDG website, processing permissions and ranks, recruiting battle and social members and being the first point of contact for all things recruitment. To be eligible for an officer position your gamer tag must reflect the MDG Tag, (ex. NAME is MDG). Company A company is specific to the console in which its members reside, and are made up of Platoons. The Company Leading Officer (CLO) is in charge of all Platoon Leaders within their company, and is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations within the Company, and to ensure Platoon Leaders are operating their Platoons efficiently. The CLO reports directly to the COO - Battle. This rank is awarded based on performance and activity level. To be eligible for the CLO position, you must demonstrate your leadership abilities, as well as have the overall big picture vision to help lead MDG along it’s path. A gamertag change is required for this position. The Executive Officer (XO) is second in command of the company and works closely with the CLO and Platoon Leaders. The XO will act as liaison between the PL’s and the CLO and help ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the Company. The XO will report directly to the CLO. This rank is awarded based on performance and activity level. To be eligible for the CLO position, you must demonstrate your leadership abilities, as well as have the overall big picture vision to help lead MDG along it’s path. A gamertag change is required for this position. Platoons Platoons are game specific and are made up of Squads of 15, 18, or 24 (Dependant on in-game squad numbers). This is to be decided by the COO, and should take into account the activity level and abilities of the Platoon Leader. The Platoon Leader ensures their members are active, attending the required practices and monitoring behaviours against MDG Code of Conduct. The Platoon Leader is also responsible for monitoring its members and ensuring their activity levels and leading their platoon in scrims. The PL will report directly to the Company XO. To be eligible to become a Platoon Leader, your Gamertag must reflect t he MDG tag (ex. NAME is MDG) The Second in Command ( SIC) is the second in command of a Platoon and works jointly with the PL to ensure the daily operation of their Platoon. The SIC will report directly to their Platoon Leader. To be eligible for the position of SIC, you must demonstrate your commitment and dedication to Modern Day Gaming, and be an active member of the community. , A name change is required to obtain this rank. Squads Squad Leaders are directly responsible for the Platoon Members assigned to their Squad. The Squad Leader reports to the SIC. A name change is not required to obtain this rank. The Team Lead will be directly responsible for themselves, and 4 shooters that make up their team [within a squad] and reports directly to their Squad Leader. They are responsible for recruitment, activity levels, team practices and match accountability for their 4 shooters. A name change is not required to obtain this rank. Members Those who do not fall into a leadership position as outlined above are considered Modern Day Gaming Members (Battle), and are assigned a Team, Squad and Platoon. Members are required to be active, attend practices and participate in League Matches. Your Squad Leader should be informed of any planned absences in order to account for your inactivity during any period of time. S.O.P for All Rank In order to be eligible for movement within the ranks of MDG Battle Membership, you must meet the practice and activity expectation.
